Dr. John Burrow retired from the Department of the Navy after 34+ years of service. He is currently a Lecturer at the University of Mary Washington and owns JBurrow LLC, providing consulting services in the areas of Research and Development, Systems Engineering, Strategic Planning, and Project Management.
Joe, a US Navy Veteran, has over three decades of engineering, management, and executive leadership experience with small and large defense contractors. He is currently the president of SimVentions, Inc. where he has worked the last 15 years. He has an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and holds a Certification in Merger and Acquisition Integration (CM&AI).
Bill Hession retired as Navy Captain, after 26 years of service as a Navy Helicopter Pilot. In addition, he is retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation as a Senior Program Manager . He has served on local non-profit boards over the last 15 years.
Christine is the CEO of Banduri, a digital transformation technology company that helps customers turn change into value. Named one of Virginia’s Top 50 Entrepreneurs, she has over 25 years of experience designing and developing enterprise systems, software, and cybersecurity solutions and products. Christine has worked with over 1,000 executives, stakeholders, users, and customers from a variety of government
agencies and industries to solve mission critical problems.
Mr. Vaughn Mahaffey spent 30 years with the United States Navy and retired at the rank of Captain as the Commander, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division. He is currently an exclusive consultant to Amentum.
Bob Shaw is a retired Army, Special Forces Colonel currently supporting the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA) as an SME/Instructor. He is the founding Commander of the Army’s Asymmetric Warfare Group (AWG) and holds MMAS Degrees in three separate Military Art and Science disciplines, and a Harvard Senior Executive Fellow.
Jamie Scully has been practicing commercial real estate since 2004 and is currently Senior Vice President with Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer. He has extensive experience with Government and Government Contractor Tenants. Jamie holds a Business Administration and Historic Preservation degree from the University of Mary Washington.
With more than thirty years in the banking industry, Pete Humes serves as the Market President, for the greater Fredericksburg area for Atlantic Union Bank. Humes also completed twenty- one years of service in the US Army active duty and reserve components. He lives in Fredericksburg with his wife and three daughters.
Mike Till is the Vice President of Operations for Advanced Technology with the Bowhead Family of Companies. He previously served for 36 years as a civilian engineer for the Department of Defense, retiring as senior technical executive.
Ms. Drake retired from the Navy after 34 years of service as the Naval Surface Warfare Center Chief Technology Officer. She is an appointed member of the King George Economic Development Authority and is an active participant with the Potomac Tech Bridge.
Dr. Michael Hubbard is a retired Marine Corps Infantry Officer (28+ years). He has served on the MAC Board since becoming the University of Mary Washington’s Dahlgren campus director.
Michael Woodcock is Senior Lead Technologist at Booz Allen Hamilton with over 18 years of expertise in software development, architecture, and project management. He excels at creating client-centric solutions for the DoD at NSWCDD, leading diverse teams, overseeing multimillion-dollar project budgets, and ensuring technical excellence. Michael holds a PMP certification and an MBA from the University of Mary Washington.
